Hi all,
So I have been a bit absent, and our steady stream of Ops have declined a bit lately. Not to worry, we’ll get back at it right away. So to recap a little bit. We aim to have three regular runs per week. At least Tues and Sun, and most weeks also Thurs.
Weekdays we start at 8 PM UK time, and you should expect to spend at least 2-3 hours. Sundays we start an hour earlier, 7 PM UK time.
The mentors and I will endeavour to make a sign up thread here on the forums a couple of days ahead of time. If we have more than enough for an Op, but not enough for 16 man, preference will be given to those that 1) Are on time (+15 min wait time) even if they haven’t signed up; 2) those that have signed up on the forums. The way we have been running Ops, this really should not be a major change in reality.
We do this, to encourage people to sign up via the forums, so we know ahead of time whether it looks like we will have a group ready to go. Lately we have spent at almost every Op at lot of time standing around just getting the group together waiting for people – which is not really fun for anyone. So this is also to encourage a wee bit of punctuality, or at least a heads up upon delays etc.
So there it is – let me know if you have comments or questions.
Cheers
May 21, 2014 at 07:01 #3576edadminKeymasterAs Artu has very well pointed out, we should try to organize a little the operations related procedures. This is not an attempt to become something else than we already are (a relaxed bunch), but is a request to better manage all of our time. We aim to do this by knowing if on the certain events we will have enough participants to make it happen, or if not, we simply go have a beer instead of staring hopefully at our monitor for 2 hours.
So based on this simple logic, I will ask you to use the forums (and to encourage our guild mates to use it as well) to sign up for the planned events, so we can know if we have enough players or not. Again, I would like to emphasize that we do not ask for any of you to attend more/less events than you are comfortable, we just wish to know if you will be able to participate, so a simple yes/no/maybe answer will suffice.
Thank you.
P.S.: Artu, can you stick this post up?
