Dont panic ive not signed any dotted lines or anything 🙂
A member of an old Guild I use to raid in pre SL has seen me spamming the Recruitment thread and has approached me with a proposal.
They are struggling to fill T1 10mans at the moment and wondered if any of ED would like to assist in joining in the view of possibly hitting the T1 20mans in the future.
I do not see this as a big issue and I have stressed that we are very laid back, don’t scream and shout over Mumble and purely work on a need/greed system, if there is anything else you want to add let me know.
Here is the PM clarifying our chat;
We are usually getting 7-10 member online on Wednesday and we usually do TOTDQ and iDH. At the moment this is the only night we are raiding, I know UK try to run one on Monday but not getting the sign ups. I can’t play Monday myself. Gone are the glory days of last year and FT/EE runs.
We want to get back into FT and EE. We got experienced players and know tactic and the required tanks and healers but lack the numbers!
Put a post up on the Eternal Dawn forum. See who could play on a Wednesday/Monday (Wednesday is best at the moment), the time is usually 8pm to 10.30pm.
Maybe looking at doing 20man is a bit ambitious at the moment but we could help some of Eternal Dawn member get the gear required running through TOTDQ and iDH (I’ll happily drop and others to help players get the gear they need) even some experts. Then if things start going well in the alliance we can see if we can get 20 players together to do FT.
and
That’s all fine, we are chill and very patience. A need, greed system on the loot is what we are using now. Most of us don’t require the loot, more about the tokens.
It’s more about having fun that serious raiding and we use mumble as well.
Now Ive seen alliances work and not work in the past so I am very open about it and have no care whether this ends up a yes or a no I see both positives [See SL Raids, Gear up the Guild, make new friends] as well as the negatives [they are to serious, could lose some players, they get more members and stop inviting us or it just falls through].
Discuss.
May 13, 2014 at 09:32 #3309AnonymousInactiveMmm for me personally, I am in no rush to do the raids… I am happy to continue what we have been doing so far as this allow us to get to know each other better.
What are the requirement on signing up? Eg. if signed up, must attend? For at the moment we are very understanding if people who sign up for events can’t make it at the last minute for any reasons, even if just didn’t feel like it afterall.
May 13, 2014 at 09:40 #3310edadminKeymasterNot gone into any detail at all as if everyone comes back as not interested it would have been a waste of time arranging the finer details 🙂
It was just literally ‘are you interested’ cos I have already told them I am not in game much in any case, and we are a very casual Guild of friends.
It could be as simple as I say ‘nope not interested or ‘give them a couple of names they add on their friends list and if they are 1 or 2 short instead of pugging they ask an ED’ or ‘a sign up system of some sort’.
Also one thing I never made clear in my thread above is our Events will still continue in case you think one or 2 of them will stop.
This is just an option to keep you busy and to see some more content, gear up etc.

A no from me then as I have enough to do with our guild at mo 🙂
May 13, 2014 at 11:04 #3312AnonymousInactiveI’m on the fence. Gave up raiding because I hate feeling pressured to do something. Halfway through a raid if you suddenly don’t feel like playing, you’re kinda stuck. During an event night, people tend to be understanding. Don’t get me wrong, I love raiding and would love to try it with you guys but when it’s something the other people focus on I just don’t know. Maybe, is my answer. Helpful, I know. xD
May 13, 2014 at 12:36 #3313AnonymousInactiveA no for me, I dont have the time or energy atm to be “hardcore”. But Im sure there are some in the guild who might be interesteed so nothing wrong in asking :]
May 13, 2014 at 12:59 #3314edadminKeymasterPersonally i do not like it as an idea and i do not want to make it “official”, like setting a combined raid day and have people joining them. I too believe that some of our members will feel pressured in showing up on certain times for raiding, me included and i don’t think its where we are at at the moment. I would rather start scheduling raids in a guild environment , since we are in a place where we can get 10 people online at nights, especially weekends. Rather start with that and see where we go.
Unofficially i do not have a problem if some of our guildies want to jump over and give them a hand, that is up to them to decide.May 13, 2014 at 13:15 #3315edadminKeymaster@Davhek wrote:

I have to agree with Dav, I held back on my answer as I wanted to think about it a bit longer, as I have a tendency to say yes out of excitement lol.
We are growing again and I will be defiantly be arranging some T1 10mans [Think there is 2]. Also Denyus was talking about it in GC the other day. I need to get my hit over 400 as well and so do a few others then we are good to go, will make a separate thread for it though.
I too have no problems if people sound interested as its so much better than a PUG.
When I raided with them they were no different to us in how things were done, probably only difference was a bit more swearing. We use to start late sometimes and peeps did have to log off halfway through raid although that was rare. I also think they cannot be too fussy when bringing other people in.
However that was then, I know some of the Raiders I raided with are in other games so it does not mean it will be the same now.
I will wait to see what others say as well.
I will continue to do Events on Sun, Tue and Fri although I wont always make all 3 days. This was just an option to do something Mon and Wed.
I was approached but its not just for me to answer.
Thanks for feedback 🙂

Yup, I’m at about 370. 🙂 Think I need hunt rifts to up that at this point, not sure. Will wait on the other thread.
May 13, 2014 at 16:51 #3317AnonymousInactiveI’d happily make up numbers if I could somehow get online before 8:30pm, would be good to see and learn some of these zones to get to know the strats, and get a bit of gear so that it’s easier for us to get somewhere when we take it on as a guild.
Perhaps when we’re running 10-man raids we can consider it more if it’s possible to get a combined 20-man going, but probably won’t be on the days / hours that will work out for everyone anyway.
I’d suggest doing it on an informal basis so no-one gets bogged down by politics, pass over interested names and if they’re short they can call in some help.
May 13, 2014 at 19:01 #3318edadminKeymasterI wouldn’t mind but i if it gets to a point where i have to choose guilds then i am not interested in jumping ship but if it stands to an alliance with equal rights on the stuffs with a decent community on their side that shows a bit of patiens & maturity then sure sign me up.
