Hey all,
Though I suspect that not many are using this forum yet, I imagine it will soon be bussing! 🙂
But we need to make it super nice to look at and easy to use. Therefore you can prepare for two things that will happen:
1) If you have ze interwebs skillz and are good at doing webby stuff, or someone who is and don’t mind doing it for absolutely free, then let me, Makk or Davhek know – it would be a great help for getting this further;
2) We need a logo and based on the logo a set of graphical identity (which colours do we use prevalent etc. etc.) – most likely we will have a small competition on this, so if you like to mess about with logos and pictures, do go ahead and start working on it. It will of course have to do with “Eternal Dawn” and reflect that in a nice manner.

Nothing codey but I’m good with tweaking and getting colours, etc. to a good place. 🙂 And can possibly Google codey questions/beg on Twitter if need be.
As for the colours. Light background, dark text. Always. And something warm and inviting for the colour scheme. Pale oranges/yellows/hints of blue/green maybe. Dawn colours. 🙂
believe I mentioned I have dreamweaver and know how to tweak it when it is wrong. Have run a couple of websites for a while too.
I have a friend whose job is website designer, I could beg him for help if you like 🙂

I am rubbish at this sort of graphical stuff, as most of us are. We can tell you what we like and don’t like but leave it to us and it would be a stick man with a sun rising over from behind a mountain in the background.
The mist you have placed behind the logo gives it a mystical quality I like, and that hint of light peering up give the dawn effect without the cliché dawn part. I love it.
I am not sure I want a dark themed website sight though cause when I troll other gaming forums seems all the Youngsters have dark themes, it feel young. Of course we need to attract the younger crowd to keep the community alive as us 46 year old ladies would perish without the protection of youth in the games. So that is just my thoughts, leave it as it is – or completely change it. The point it the work is amazing and in awe a bit of how people do this sort of creative thing.

My thoughts. 🙂 Just a little lighter and maybe a smudge of yellow in there. But leave the logo! Adore everything about it. 😀 What fonts are they?
If you’re interested, I can recycle the WW forums (extensions, portal, and the two dark & light themes I designed), though that would require a real host, there’s very little that can be done on Forumatic even on a paid plan (which are quite pricey by the way).
